Shifting sand

We are all looking for stability. How much stability can we really attain when the nature of this world is always changing and therefore stability is never long lasting. It’s like building a sand castle in the sand, a child has joy in building the sand castle , all the details matter, the wall of the castle, the mote around the castle, the size and shape , and the child gets so absorbed in the castle growing and getting bigger, yet they are aware the wave will soon come in and wash the castle away. There is a joy in watching it also being washed  away . It doesn’t  mean the child does not build the castle in the sand, he or she is present to the process and the joy from building and creating, as well the joy in watching it being washed away . When the child tries to hold onto the finished result that created the joy, they are trying to hold onto the joy, but when the castle is washed aways , the child might get upset and cry.

We are building our castle of life in sand, yet the tide is coming in and it will slowly all be washed away . Does it mean we don’t build our castle called life in the sand knowing it will be washed away? No! Regardless we build but we have to be like that child, not attached when the tide comes in. Be aware your The castle of life is built on sand , and the tide and time will come in and slowly dissolve away all that you have built and created , all that you have identified with, all the work you have done to create what is in front of you. That tide is slow moving in most cases, and the washing away may take years. Yet can we then get creative and rebuild on shifting sands again . When sleeping , don’t expect the castle of life to be there the next day, tide and time will wash it over, our reaction depends on our attachment and knowledge in the process of rebuilding . Let the creative process itself be the joy. The joy cannot be bottled up and kept for a later day, joy is ever evolving, it is the creative process and what comes from it, not the creation itself. The joy can also be the dissolving of the castle of life, the wave brings freshness, it ripples over our creation, sometimes in gentle ways and sometimes in rash rushes to bring in a smoothness of sand, and a blank page only to awaken the quest of creativity and new vision. Sometimes we are invited to sit in the sand, the blankness and vastness for some time. Not knowing, no vision. But if we remain curious we play again. Curiosity brings in Divine unattached play, and we become that child again. If we sit on the sure, after destruction has taken place on our castle of life, and lament due to attachment, we get stuck, or we try and recreate what time washed away, but it does not look the same as it was not born from the child’s eye or playful curiosity , instead it is rebuilt on attached anxiety and a seeking of what was so called lost.

Embracing the duality of the playful building of our castle of life in sand but also watching its dissolving, is the key to rising above the duality. Both need to exist, for Divine creativity and joy to be every evolving, and this way we rise above the duality while living in the duality

A playful spirit ignites curiosity and joy, it is that spirit that moves matter into creation and substance, ideas become a reality, they evolve and grow, but when curiosity and joy are forced to become stationary or one tries to control or hold onto it, it mystically disappears. There is a fear that might arise in the creative space, as usually in the joy of creative flow there is no outcome, no sense of tangibility as it is a process that comes into being, it is not about what is created or the results. THe mystery of not knowing what the castle will look like is part of the joy, it’s ever evolving .  even if one has a vision it’s still in the process and the creative play that is exciting, if that creative curious play ends with the objective we also become stagnant and stuck. Then comes the wave of time used as a catalyst to keep us in the flow of creative play and curiosity. This is where the quest remains a quest .

There was a mystery in the creative flow. Can we sit with the mystery of unknowing and find the curiosity and patience that is required to be in the mystery.

We cling to what is tangible as it gives stability  and a false sense of security. yet due to a lack of patience in the mystery we end up sacrificing the creative play that brought joy, and we try and hold onto the tangible results for validation

Can we find stability in the process of creativity, while embracing the mystery of the unknown.  Can these two paradoxes live together? Stability and creative playful ever evolving flow? It’s like finding Stability in  shifting sand ?

What does this mean in one’s living life and what does it look like? It will be different for each person . It requires a paradigm shift of what stability is. It’s the same as being comfortable in uncomfortable situations . Stability may be found in the joy and curiosity that is ever evolving and expansive . If that becomes the norm that becomes stable although ever changing

Now I am not saying we become adrenaline or dopamine junkies. Always seeking the thrill. Again a  dopamine or adrenaline junkie gets attached to that dopamine, to the sensations of experiences and the thrill. That attachment blocks the creative flow, and the child like innate play that comes with imagination

It is in the creative imagination of a child and curiosity of play that the impossible becomes possible. Ultimately, this energy is where the joy is found, not in the castle nor in the washing away of the castle, it is the sand alone and the waves that bring the joy.
