Trauma Informed Weekend Immersion:
This trauma-informed yoga teacher training is for those who may have personally gone through trauma and want to learn more about the mind-body connection and for those who teach and work with those who have undergone trauma and are seeking help others using yoga and mindfulness techniques. Gopi will be working with Dr Angela Cerkevich who will lead an online zoom session, to present this trauma informed yoga training, both of these teachers have been training in trauma sensitive yoga, Dr Angela Cerkevich is a physiotherapist where she uses mindfulness and yoga in her life and in her practice. This will be a powerful, educational, healing weekend.

In this weekend immersion you’ll learn:
- Deepen your understanding of developmental trauma, how it affects your relationships, your work, and your connection to your own body and how it may manifest in your behavior patterns and others’.
- Deepen your understanding on single incident trauma
- What are the symptoms of PDST
- Deepen your awareness of Race, ancestral trauma and intergenerational trauma
- Identify the triggers, how the body holds the score. The body is the first receptor of trauma, how does it show up in the physical body
- Learn the art of mindfulness and trauma. Learn how to find the pause between the stimulus/trigger and the response, practical mindfulness to practices to change response patterns
- How to form a trauma sensitive class
- The power of healing languaging, reflective use of words, trauma sensitive wording and presentations
- Chair yoga. Slowing down the pace to create greater mindful awareness
- Set up of room – teacher positioning, assist safely
- Learning how to use breath work in trauma.
